Who we are

Women@Tech is a volunteer-led UK organisation, dedicated to connecting, developing, and advocating for women in technology, with the backing of our industry-leading member companies.

Driven by women and allies working within the most influential Tech companies in the UK, we deliver a unique blend of mentorship and development programmes; networking events; and advocacy initiatives, to improve representation and progression of women within the Tech sector.

Together, we are leading the charge towards a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive future for all in the Tech industry.

What makes us different? Our impact

We have the relevance and authority of women working in tech, with the backing and influence of our industry-leading member companies. With this power, we are best placed to provide the solutions our community needs.

Women@Tech member companies include Amazon, BT, Cisco, Colt Technology Services, Google, Infosys, Meta, Salesforce, Samsung, Uber and we're growing. Since 2020, we have launched our cross-company mentorship programme, our podcast 'The Impact Room', grown our community to 3k+ LinkedIn followers, and have delivered a series of inspirational events on topics from AI to personal branding.

 

What we do

Development

Development is key to helping women to progress and succeed within the technology industry. Our programmes include:

  • Cross-company mentoring programme - access to mentees and mentors from across our member companies within a structured first-of-its-kind programme.

  • Training opportunities - access to exclusive programmes and events from across our member companies. Initiatives have included: bespoke leadership course with Cambridge university, Google’s ‘Tell Your Story’ and #IamRemarkable workshops and career conversations.

Influence & best practise

Women@Tech members get best practice insights, opportunities to speak with other industry-leading companies, and access to thought-leaders. Our advocacy includes:

  • Yearly gender gap report - Analysis of our member companies across a range of data points and policies, including bespoke sessions with our in-house consultants.

  • Executive sponsor roundtables - a committee of executives from across our member companies. Our representatives meet quarterly at curated roundtables where we discuss topical challenges and share best practices.

Networking & Events

The power of Women@Tech lies within our community. Women@Tech members get access to events, locations, speakers and active audiences including:

  • A minimum of four industry events annually including virtual, in-person and mixed attendance.

  • Custom-interest networking groups.

  • Support from Women@Tech in curating their own events including securing speakers, canvassing for topics, and promotion to our community.

Volunteering opportunities

Women@Tech is a volunteer-led UK organisation, our members have built the most supportive community of women in Tech and find joy in contributing to a greater cause. Volunteers are able to:

  • Expand their skill set and build competencies.

  • Unleash their creativity by contributing to a cause beyond their day job.

  • Become a Diversity Equity and Inclusion thought-leader and raise their own, and their company’s, voice in the industry.

  • Build and foster a unique cross-company network, making meaningful connections and gaining diverse perspectives.
